Cycle to work - My first step to eco friendliness

Achievement is an achievement, whether its a small or big, doesn't matter. This month, I achieved something, which may be the first step to many more achievements. I have a some kind of awareness on health & environment more than the people around me. I want to do so many things for environment and I really can do so many things. But where to start??

In terms of transportation, we feel we improved a lot. We got scooters, bikes, cars, bus.We can travel a long distance in minutes without much of human effort. But in reality, my journey to office is filled with Air Pollution, Sound pollution, Horns, Traffic jams, Irritation etc. Every hike in petrol or diesel is again an extra burden.

A small key can open a big lock. In the same way, A small idea can fix so many problems. For me the bicycle looks like a better solution. With cycle I'm no more polluting the environment. I can avoid main roads, indeed shortcuts will also have trees and helps me to take good oxygen. No sound pollution. No traffic jams. No need to worry for petrol or diesel hikes. My journey time lessened from 75 to 40 minutes.

The bonus advantage for cycling is, 7 calories will be burnt every minute. Which reduces the risk of diabetes and heart problems in future.

My world of inspiration - part 2

This is the 2nd part of the series My world of inspiration. If you have missed Part 1, you can read here.

I have a unique way of understanding people. I concentrate more on their positive side, than their negative side. Every one do mistakes, that doesn't mean they are not good. The people who inspired me a lot, may have negative qualities with them. sachin hasn't brought world cup to india, gandhiji got lot of problems in the family, roger doesn't have good record against nadal, nakamatsu is not successful in his political attempts. But still they are the heroes for me, for their attitude, accomplishments, qualities.

Yoshiro Nakamatsu

Lot of people might not be knowing this name, but he holds the world record for number of inventions. You may not believe it, the number is more than 3,000.

Some popular inventions includes
  • Basic technology for Floppy, CD, DVD
  • Pump, which used to re-fill kerosene in earlier days
  • Cerebrex chair (which is supposed to improve the brain capability by increasing your blood circulation through electricity)
  • Flying shoes (spring shoes)
  • waterproof plexiglas(For writing under the water)
  • Taxi cab meter
  • Brain Drink (Made from 13 herbs)
  • Love Jet (A sex-aid spray which simply beats Viagra)
Other experiments include
  • Revolutionary golf putter(5 times better score is promised with this putter)
  • Engine which will run with water(so no pollution)
He says: "For getting innovative idea, we need a calm place. For implementing the idea, we need dynamic environment". I will prefer cafeteria or bathroom for getting ideas and I will listen music with full sound while programming.

He analyzed every meal he has consumed from past 35 to 40 years. He Knows which food will make him healthy. Because of him, I learnt living means not simply living, but healthy living. I included milk, carrot & fruit juice in everyday menu.

The most important thing, I liked with him is his perfection. For getting new ideas we need a calm room, everyone knows that. He covered his bathroom completely with gold, which which shuts out every noise and every magnetic and electronic field. So it will reduces noise in the brain and helps him to concentrate on the things.

My world of inspiration - part 1

There are some people in my life, who inspired me a lot and who motivates me for taking important & tough decisions. Mahatma Gandhi, Mother Teressa, Shirdi sai baba, Roger federer, Sachin tendulkar, Yoshiro Nakamatsu, Galileo are in the top list among them. These people got same great qualities,I guess one day is not enough to write about them. So I decided to write a series of posts and I would be honored to write something about such a great personalities.

Mahatma Gandhi:

He played a very important role in Indian independence with the weapons like Ahimsa, Satyagraha etc. Ahimsa is totally Out of Box Solution in that situation. So many people are fought with weapons and lost their lives. But still independence was looking out of sight. So there is definite need of trying new things and Satyagraha was such kind of solution.

Ahimsa is the best thing we can follow in any generation. If entire world follows ahimsa, we can save a lot of money, with which every one in the world will get proper food and education. India alone spending one lakh crore rupees on defence. Think about America and UK, how much they might be spending. Each and every country is afraid of other countries. I strongly believe Peace and Love are the two things, which makes every one happy.

Being such popular, gandhiji was living a simple life. He has his own principles, own attitude, own life style. People say simplicity is his biggest asset.

It is very difficult to become a leader. He is a very successful leader in Quit India moment and Salt Satyagraha. Entire nation was behind him. They were ready to do, whatever gandhiji says. I know lot of Team leaders and managers, who struggle to lead a team of 10 members. Gandhiji was able to lead a nation of around 50 crore people.

Ahimsa, Simplicity and the Leader ship are the top qualities of gandhiji, which I'm inspired of.
